Love must find what it seeks, and only that.
Sometimes finding love can feel like hitting a bull’s-eye. Although Maria and Giovanni travelled in the same circle of friends and attended many of the same parties, it took a direct face-to-face run-in, with formal introductions, for cupid’s arrow to strike. Three years later to that fateful day, the couple pledged to share their lives together.
The ceremony took place at Mary Queen of the World Cathedral in Montreal, a location of sentimental value to Giovanni, as his parents were married in the cathedral 37 years prior. A reception for their
470 guests at Plaza Volaré followed.
“We wanted a lavish, traditional Italian wedding, with an abundance of food, drink and great dance music,” said Maria.
“ The day went by so fast, that I had to take a deep breath once in a while, look around, and soak it all in.”
