An Elegant Victorian
Wedding in Montreal
– PRISCILLA & ANDREA –
Priscilla first met disc jockey Andrea in 2002 when she was searching for someone to fill that role for her sister’s bridal shower. Andrea’s company, DJ Universal, was the only one available to perform on that date. “When I met him, I thought Andrea had old-fashioned worldly charm and an intoxicating Italian accent,” she said. His take:
“I fell in love with Priscilla the moment I met her. The rest is history.”
The couple were married at historic The Windsor Ballrooms with full-service catering provided by Traiteur Bon Appetit. Priscilla, a wedding planner by profession, handled the design and logistics of their celebration. “I am all about Victorian elegance and glittering chandeliers, which meant The Windsor was the perfect venue,” she said.
Because it was a spring wedding, she wanted to capture the essence of the season. Tall vases made elegant reception table centrepieces, each filled with delicate baby’s breath and elegant Earl Grey roses, with silver moss and Italian ruscus greenery cascading down the sides. The wedding bouquets mirrored the wedding colours, with the same pink-grey roses mixed with white roses and grey berries, and lacy dusty miller foliage for freshness. “The pièce de resistance was our six-tiered wedding cake, which we carefully designed to symbolize spring, Victorian elegance and, of course, love!” the bride said.
